Precipitation¶
The package warsa.precipitation analyses precipitation data from ground stations, satellite
precipitation products, and reanalysis. Automatic download is provided for satellite products.
It is planned to implement procedures to download and process radar and forecast data. Data from
ground stations are country specific and therefore not provided in warsa. Reanalysis and climate
change data are released sporadically and can be downloaded manually.
There are different types and sources of precipitation data:
- Precipitation from climate change models
- Retro-analysis data (reanalysis)
- Global satellite precipitation products
- Precipitation radar
- Precipitation forecast
- Precipitation from ground stations
