The WARSA working group is part of the Institute of Technology and Resources Management in the Tropics and Subtropics at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in Cologne Germany.
WARSA promotes capacity building and research on water resources and their interactions with other natural resources and human systems. Our main goal is to investigate relevant temporal and spatial dynamics of water related processes as well as to develop methods and tools for assessment, design, planning, operation, and monitoring in integrated water resource management.
Our activities include:
Research projects founded by our university, state and federal institutions, foundations, and the private sector
Implementation projects in cooperation with aid agencies
Development projects in cooperation with small and middle enterprises (SME).
Cooperation with other universities including exchange of docents and students

WARSA is a member of the competence platform STEPS - Sustainable Technologies and Computational Services for Environmental and Production Processes, which aims at developing computer based methods for environmental management.
